Got (Goat) Milk?

Petsway’s Rex

Hey, all you crazy bi-pedal friends. It’s your ole pal Rex again, and I have to ask…where do you guys get the white stuff you pour on your cereal? See, I heard a rumor that you get it from cows, which is crazy to me, ’cause any dog worth his bark knows the answer is goats.

That’s right—goat’s milk is where it’s at. Because, friends, goat’s milk is the universal mammalian milk. Now, being the humble dog that I am, I don’t know what “mammalian” means, but universal is, well, universal. In short, goat’s milk is the stuff we dogs—and even cats, if they’re you’re thing, for some reason—really crave.

For starters, goat milk goes down really smooth, in that, my friends and I have a better time digesting it, which makes everyone in the house happy. Cow juice, on the other hand, has a couple funky proteins in it that human sciencey-types have found increase the chance of an allergic reaction. On the other hand, goat’s milk is jam packed with all kinds of good stuff like vitamins, minerals, protein, electrolytes, and other things that make it the clear beverage of choice.goat

More than that, goat’s milk has one-fifth the fat that the cow stuff does, which helps me and all my pals—even the guys with stomach problems—keep the stuff down. All the probiotics we dogs get in goat’s milk then, in turn, help us with chronic diseases, including liver disease, heavy metal poisoning, malnutrition, kidney disease, kidney stones, diabetes, GI disease, poor digestion, and diarrhea.

But that’s not all goat’s milk does. Did you know dogs can get yeast infections? Yeah, it’s about as much fun as it sounds. Like humans, our boy and girl bits can get infected, but so can our ears and even our paws. So if you’ve ever seen your dog gnawing at his paws, it might be yeast. Goat’s milk has all these probiotics that I mentioned before, which help stop itching. Believe me, you do that and your dog will love you more than he already does. Which is saying something, ‘cause it’s a lot.

Goat’s milk can also help relieve joint pain and inflammation and reduce—or even completely knock out—arthritis symptoms by helping improve circulation. So if you’ve noticed your dog’s not moving around as well as he used to, you might try adding goat milk to the mix.

goat milkSo, I hear you ask: where can I get goat’s milk? Visit my pals over at Petsway. They carry Frozen Raw Goat Milk from Primal, Goats’ Milk Esbilac® Powder and Goats’ Milk Esbilac® Liquid that’s good for newborn pups or dogs who currently suffer from any of the afflictions I mentioned above. They even have some goat’s milk for small animals, GME® Small Animal Powder, for the bunnies, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets and guinea pigs who have sensitive digestive systems.

Also? I heard that Primal goat’s milk at PetsWay is a buck off throughout the end of the month. I’m gonna make my master stock up on the stuff. In fact, that’s where we’re headed now. So check up on goat’s milk, and when you swing by Petsway, tell them their pal Rex says hello.
